TESOL stands for, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and is focused on training people to be able to teach English as a second language in a Christian missions context. This course is specialized in equipping students not only to teach and run a classroom, but also to start an English ministry and use English as a way to reach out to the nations.

Another major aspect of this course is the hands-on practicum portion. Practicum is when the student becomes the teacher. It is designed to give every TESOL student hands-on experience in a real language classroom. Classes are taught in teams and evaluations are given by both peers and TESOL instructors alike.

YWAM School Fee Structure

This cost includes all your basic school needs. It does NOT include accommodation, transportation, meals, or the Australian TESOL certificate. Contact us for more information.

This course is a YWAM run seminar and if completely successfully, you will earn a UofN certificate and 6 UofN credits. In addition to the UofN TESOL certificate for successful completion of the seminar, it is possible to obtain an Australian accredited certificate through an Australian Registered Training Organization (RTO) by a process called Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competence (RCC). The advantage of this certificate is that it would be widely recognized around the world and does not reflect back to missions. This is particularly useful for opening doors to restricted or creative access nations. To get more information, please contact us.
